Image
Independence and freedom are what each and every country deserves, as they are their own country with their own people and traits, belonging to nothing but themselves. In attaining and grabbing freedom, the Philippines had to go through war and fought blood with blood in order to protect its people and declare freedom once and for all. Looking back at the history of the Philippines, it is heart-wrenching to witness what our heroes and people had to go through just to give our country its freedom and independence it has today.           The road to Philippine’s indep endence was long and miserable. The Philippines was colonized by the Spanish in the latter part of the 16 th century. Multiple countries tried to seize the Philippines, which includes countries such as Japan, Spain and United States of America. Mother's Day, A Time To Show Our Never-ending Love That Stays

Mother. A single word, defining millions of people around the world. There is no definite way to describe a mother, and there is no word to describe the feeling of a mother. Mother is a person that loves unconditionally, ever since you were at their womb, holding you and protecting you, just like how they did even after you took a your first breath. There is no other creature in this world who’s love can be compared to a mother. She has been protecting you from an infant, up until you grow old, where she watches you with white hair and how visible the both of you has changed. But one thing is for sure, that seasons’ change, people change, but a mother’s love will never waver.           A mother is the one that held you first and wiped the tears as you cried, they are the first person that held us safe while we were vulnerabl...

New Experiences By Taking On The Chances

Image
The more we go through life, the more we learn. As days pass by, we experience new things that we never expect to do, be it small or big. This quarter of our school year, I had the chance to try out a new activity once again. This time, I worked on a community project where I had to do some research about the community or town that I live in. Learning about the history and backstory of the place that I grew up at is certainly interesting and quite enjoyable. Through this activity, I managed to gain a lot of information, as well as feel a bit more connected with my town. I learned about how its name came to be, how the town was founded who found it, as well as read about the growth of the community and its people. I saw the improvement and unique characteristics of each community through this activity.           While I was working on the community project research, I felt multiple things. Even though I found it interesting learning a...

New Experiences Comes With New Knowledge (Reflection)

Image
This second quarter, I have learned more information when it comes to computer and how to use them even more, as well as new knowledge when it comes to applications such as the notepad. I have been using websites in many occasions, but in this quarter, I had the chance to learn more about them and even make my own. I’ve learned about the various tags and I even managed to use them. While I’m more used to just writing and using words, it was such a new experience using codes and tags to work           And because it was my first time, it was still a little difficult for me. Since we had to work with all sorts of tags, it was hard to actually put in the right one and make sure that there were no errors in order for them to work properly. It was a unique experience for me, working with computers even further and not just sticking to the things that are within range of my comfort zone. It was tough, but the experience made everything worth-whil...
