Mother's Day, A Time To Show Our Never-ending Love That Stays

Mother. A single word, defining millions of people around the world. There is no definite way to describe a mother, and there is no word to describe the feeling of a mother. Every person is a child of a mother, and no matter their age is, they are still seen as the baby of their mom. Mother is a person that loves unconditionally, ever since you were at their womb, holding you and protecting you, just like how they did even after you took a your first breath. There is no other creature in this world who’s love can be compared to a mother. She has been protecting you from an infant, up until you grow old, where she watches you with white hair and how visible the both of you has changed. But one thing is for sure, that seasons’ change, people change, but a mother’s love will never waver.

A mother is the one that held you first and wiped the tears as you cried, they are the first person that held us safe while we were vulnerable to the world. She is the one that stayed by your when you were a nobody, she was the one that cared for you when you didn’t know and couldn’t do anything. She never judged you, nor did she complain when she had to stay up all night or lack sleep just to look after you. Never, did she cry in front of you, nor showed how much she was actually tired. She teaches her children everything and tries her best to make them into the person that they won’t regret looking back upon, and share everything she has without any hesitation to her children. She’s the person who wanted to give her child everything, leaving none for herself, and returning with nothing. She sacrifices everything for her children. No one is capable of making all of those sacrifices more than a mother does. A mother loved you her entire life, and is willing to go even further and longer than that. But we did nothing compared to what she had for us, we did nothing after the amount of sacrifice she did for us. We never really knew how happy and lucky we are for our mother until we were in her arms, and soon we realize that our mother’s arms were the first place that welcomed us, and will always welcome us. Mother’s Day is the one day where mothers get to take a rest and receive all the love and care that we give to them in return. This day is not only for celebration and for gifts such as flowers, cakes, cards, and so on. A children’s love for their mother cannot be seen in the amount of gifts they give to her, rather, it is seen in the way they look at their mother, in the way they feel a burst of emotion when they see their mother smile when their whole family is gathered. It is the way they realize that they their mother’s smile stayed the same from when they were a child, up to now, it is still filled with the same warm love it emits. Mother’s Day all about thanking. Thanking our mother, as well as thanking God that gave us the mother that love us unconditionally. This celebration is essential every year, as this reminds us to constantly thank our mother, to acknowledge their hard work and to the same as well. Mother’s Day is a perfect celebration for the whole family, as it shows that motherhood is not only becoming a mother, but it is becoming a guardian, a protector, and a lover. This celebration is so important for us to show that mothers mean so much, and without them, we’re nothing, quite literally. Mothers give everything for their children, and at this day, on Mother’s Day, is the only day can we fully return the favor to them. Nothing can replace a mother at any cost, she deserves to be showered with a lot of love and care every day, not just on Mother’s Day. Celebrating Mother’s Day should not be the only day where we show our mother love, as this is certainly not enough to thank her for every single things she sacrificed and did in her life for us.

A mother is our first and last in many thing. She is our first protector, the first one that loved us unconditionally, the first one that made a promise in our life. Our mother is the last person who will sacrifice that much for us solely, they are the last person willing to give more to us rather than themselves. Mother’s Day is a day to give and show love to our mother, to return their sacrifices and promise them a great life. You may not remember the first moment you saw your mother nor how she held you when you cried for the first time, but her image will  you remember until the day you’ll die.

  1. Seasons change, people change; nothing is permanent in life except for a mother's love. I definitely agree with you in this line. Keep up the good work!
