Philippines on its way to be a more resilient country

The Philippines have faced not only natural disasters like typhoons, floods, fires, earthquakes, but was also badly affected during past wars, and is now widely affected by a pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought world challenges, and almost all countries had to shut down or slow down their economies in order to control the spread of the virus. The Philippines is not an exemption, as it had to take strict measures to halt the spread of the virus, and had to implement quarantine rules and regulations. Many netizens fear the virus will spread, causing threat to workers and causing a huge rate of them to go unemployed. Health workers are also in fear of catching the virus and possibly affecting them.

Despite the impact from the pandemic, the Philippines is managing to restore their economic rate and implement other ways to help raise the country once again. After a series of lockdowns in different parts in the country, it did help in controlling the spread of the virus and fortunately, the Philippines managed to find ways in properly managing the situation. They are now tracing those affected patients with the virus in order to prevent the spread of it, and immediately sending them into isolation where they are getting treatment from the health workers. The number of cases in the country reportedly stop growing in a fast rate, and is seemed to be in more control. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that the Philippines won its battle against COVID-19. There are still things to keep in mind and measures to assure in order to have full control against the virus with the limited movements that the country has to assure. By continuing this practice and how to properly manage patients along with the other people living in the country, it can have a huge positive impact. They have to also consider other areas such as controlling the number of deaths, improving hygiene and sanitation all around the country, and conducting testing as well. In order for the Philippines to recover and towards a more resilient country, it has to consider not only its political and economic wellness, but also the overall wellbeing of its people.

The Philippines have faced more than a pandemic. This pandemic has opened our eyes and enlightened our minds on how to rethink our life, consider our health, and even the way we chose and see our leaders. By assessing a problem in different perspective and considering other areas affected, this can lead to a more resilient country. By enhancing our skills and our implemented rules and regulations, we can also acknowledge the recommendations on what the country can do to become more resilient, be it a pandemic or whatnot. As we continue our battle against the COVID-19, we should always remember that uniting as one, and bonding our nation together, will make our country rise again as one.
