A Letter to the President: Hard work beyond Expectations
Dear
President Duterte,
I am writing you this letter to show my gratitude and acknowledge you’re
the efforts and the things that you have done for our country. When talking
about a leader, or a ruler of a group, may it be big or small, I’ve always
looked up to them as someone who has an intention to change. Being a president
is a whole step forward to becoming a leader, and we had lots of different
presidents that we had in the past. Our current president, Mr. Rodrigo Duterte,
you are now in your final term of becoming president, and for the past years
that you were a leader of our country, you certainly left an impact. you did so
much for our country and our only way of repaying you is through our gratitude
and words.
A leader has their own way of solving
problems and creating a solution, and over time, you were creating these
projects and solutions to problems, be it political or what not, has grown to
make me learn to respect you. The campaigns that you did that were not that
much appreciated by some citizens, I actually grew to admire your hard work
even more. Even the highest of people, even the president are humans, and makes
mistakes as well, and given the role to run a whole country is very demanding
to one person. That is why I’ve always grew to respect our presidents, even you
Mr. Duterte. While you did make mistakes and was lacking at some parts, that is
what shows how dedicated you are and how much you are willing to go out of your
way to serve our country. I don’t think any of us really know how much it takes
to lead a whole country, with millions of eyes watching your move and
decisions.
What that idea, I would like to show
my gratitude for the years of your hard work and dedication. Every time and
effort you put into our country, every speech, projects, campaigns, changes
that you made are all appreciated. While your way of leading may be different
from the past presidents, it’s no doubt that someway, you surely helped our
country grow. Even though you will be stepping off of the position of a
president next year, we Filipinos will never forget how you led our country. We
are in great honor to have you as our president these past years. Thank you for
your leadership and service to the Philippines, to us, and to the whole nation.
Respectfully,
Carla

ReplyDeleteGood day, Carla! I very much agree with your sentiments regarding our President. Your kind words and acknowledgment of his efforts to make the Philippines what it is today are refreshing to see. You also mentioned that even the highest people like our President are still human who isn't built to be perfect in every way is what I love the most in this blog. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHello Carla! I agree that President Duterte has contributed so many good things for our country that we could only repay and show our gratitude through our words. I love how you mention that the role of being president is demanding and pressuring because of constantly being watched by every word, action and decisions made. You mentioned that the president’s lacks and mistakes shows how dedicated and willing he is to serve for our country and it is true, for without mistakes, there will be no room for growth and improvement. Wonderful work, keep it up!
