The Beauty Of Earth, That We Must Preserve

Our planet, the Earth, is our home and the place where we live and sustains our needs. This is the place where we find peace, where we discover its wonders, the place where all our needs are given out to us. But are we giving back what the earth deserves from us? Are we living in perfect harmony with this so-called home of ours? The Earth is what keeps us alive, but us humans are slowly destroying it through our actions and habits. We have embraced a path of self-destruction in replace to our own selfish desires. We are destroying our home, our natural habitats, the beauty of the Earth, all because we are turning into a blind eye for our selfish desires.

As time passes by, there is still so much we could do to regain the strength and beauty of our environment. Even as teenagers, as children, we might feel like we are powerless and don’t know how to start taking action. But even as just normal citizens, we can start by making minor changes, start taking action bit by bit, step by step. While big and major changes are possible by the whole country or big companies and the government doing the action, we individuals can still contribute to this in our own environment and homes. We can start doing this by volunteering to environmental activities or organizations, even if it’s just within your hometown. Even if it’s as small as starting a group of people or community group to do clean-up drives, or go around and clean up the environment. Even small steps like these are already a step forwards to a better and healthier environment. We must start within ourselves first in order to encourage others to do the same. We must learn how to be discipline, and the proper ways to handle our environment in order to encourage others. By simply following the simple rules such as reduce, reuse, recycle, or what you have learnt in your textbooks, why not use those? As cliché as it may sound, recycling is a simple yet effective way in conserving resources and reduce trash. By doing activities such as planting a tree, clean up drives, or watering plants with your group of friends or community, this is already a great way to help the environment. We must learn to know the limits of what we need, and only use products to the amount that we need. Estimate the certain that we need, such as water and food in order to avoid any wastes. By applying this to our daily lives and start changing our habits to the ones that will benefit both us and the environment, by time, these small changes will leave a huge impact.

The Earth is our only home, and the only planet or place that we will ever survive in. It has contributed so much to humanity, and is the reason why we are living freely. It is only right that we need to treat it properly and actually show it respect and adoration as to what we do to our fellow people. If there is one thing that we should be grateful for, it is our Earth. While we still have the opportunity to do so, we must change our habits to better both ourselves and our environment. We should start within ourselves and in the premise of our homes, before we take action outside. Small steps which will soon turn into bigger actions, small changes that will turn into huge impacts in the future.
