Moon Looking At The Beauty Of The Earth

 

The moon is such a unique celestial body, while being complex at the same time due to its many phases. For the long while of me admiring the moon, I’ve come to terms at how similar I am to it. Besides the illuminating light amidst the dark night or the metaphor of saying how I shine despite the dark, the moon is a great motivator with many lessons for me. I consider myself like a moon, constantly wandering my eyes and mind at the unforeseen aspects of the earth. Constantly trying to be a small light and wondering about the world, while being a mystery in itself.

I’ve always been a curious person, always researching and trying to understand the different perspectives of how the world works. Ironically enough, all while trying to understand the complexity of the world, I couldn’t even bring myself to understand myself. I’ve always found contentment and happiness from helping others, just a small light glowing and being their guide. Like the moon, I am a loyal companion; like how the moon never leaves in the day time and is there lingering around, up until being there during their dark nights. I was always a friend that even the loneliest of people can talk to, and still feel safe despite being surrounded by darkness in their life. I am never the one to judge even if you show your vulnerable side, you can ignore me in the day and only notice my light once in a while, but I’ll still offer you the silence and comfort that you long for. But despite my caring nature, it’s hard for me to fully show my whole personality to others, only showing a part of myself to the world while the rest is kept hidden.

After a long while of me trying to understand my true self and finding my true identity, I’ve reached a point where if someone asks me to describe myself, one word that holds hundreds of meanings comes to mind, ‘Moon’. It is where mysterious things happen that no one can fully get a grasp of, but the uniqueness and complexity of it is what draws people in. I’m full of imperfections even after trying to appear perfect in front of everyone, but the flaws are what makes it a pleasure to watch. Like the moon, I went through and will go through many different phases in life, but I have a mentality of embracing the changes without fear, for it reveals the inner beauty within ourselves buried deep inside. I’m a mysterious person, made up with perfect imperfections, where thousands of secrets are hidden behind the beauty that show, all while trying to be a light for other, just like the moon.
